The Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute is a private, non-profit oceanographic research center in Moss Landing, California. MBARI was founded in 1987 by David Packard, and is primarily funded by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
The goal is to rebrand Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI). The work includes designing a new logo, posters about the organization, business card, envelope, letterhead, and Instagram page. Designing to involve the organization in an activity includes designing event tickets, posters, Badges, Wristbands, and Schedule cards.
LogoThe logo is inspired by sea air currents that drift along their own paths. Sudden temperature shifts interrupt these routes. The rectangle represents the moving currents, and the central point formed by the four squares highlights these changes as something worth noticing.
