Dataland

Museum Brand Identity, Publication, Generative Design, Web Design

Dataland is the world’s first museum of AI art, where data and machine intelligence become immersive visual experiences. Its Large Nature Model is a generative AI model trained on ethically collected nature data, turning nature into AI art.

This hypothetical project rebrands Dataland with a unique identity system. For me data is not just numbers or information. It can also be transformed into something visual, emotional, and meaningful. What interests me most is that everyone can have a different perspective on how to visualize data. So through this project, I wanted to use my own perspective to explore how data can be visualized in a new and engaging way.

LogoFor the logo, my idea came from Dataland Museum’s way of visualizing data and life through digital forms. I used geometric shapes as a way to visualize these ideas. The logo is built from simple geometric elements, but together they create a system that feels dynamic and alive. So instead of making a logo that feels static, I wanted it to feel like it could grow, transform, and represent different possibilities.

Dataland Type GeneratorI use p5.js created a type generator that transforms flora, fauna, fungi, and lumina data into four modular typefaces I designed. Each typeface represents a different dataset and turns data into a visual language.

Brand PosterFor the color palette, I wanted to break the stereotype people often have about data. Usually data is represented with darker, colder, and more technical colors. But I wanted to do the opposite. I chose bright and vivid colors because I wanted Dataland to feel more open, more inviting, and more accessible. Since Dataland is a museum about AI art, I also wanted people to feel more comfortable with AI art and more willing to engage with it.
