Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival
Festival Brand Identity, Publication, Generative Design, Web Design
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is a cultural landmark that sets trends with the premier music and arts festival known for diverse musical acts, large-scale art installations, and trend-setting fashion.
This hypothetical project rebrands Coachella with a more youthful and inclusive visual identity. I was drawn to Coachella for its music festival energy and reimagined it as a brand that celebrates diversity, belonging, and emotional connection through color.
LogoFor the Coachella logo, I wanted to build meaning through simple geometric forms. By rotating and repositioning two half circles, I created a mark that expresses connection between performers, audiences, and the festival experience. The shape also references Coachella’s separate stage environments and subtly echoes a musical high note. I chose a minimal form to give the identity a younger, fresher, and more modern feel.
Color PaletteFor the color palette, I used four fluorescent colors to express diversity through emotion. By combining warm and cool tones, I wanted to reflect the different feelings people bring to Coachella and connect them through one shared visual experience.
Brand PosterFor the posters, I wanted people to recognize Coachella immediately through clear imagery and typography. By recoloring the images to match the brand palette, I created a visual system that feels bold, youthful, and easy to understand.
SpatialFor this motion ad, I used shifting color to capture attention and express Coachella’s changing energy and emotion. The minimal text keeps the message quick and direct in a public space.
TicketFor the tickets and wristbands, I used color to build a strong sense of brand identity. By removing imagery and relying only on color blocks and type, I wanted to show that color and text alone can still feel clear, bold, and recognizable.

Social MediaFor social media, I used color to increase recognition and make Coachella stand out quickly. Since people scroll so fast, large color fields became a way to stop attention and carry the brand’s energy into one of its main promotional spaces.
WebsiteFor the website, I wanted to draw people in with atmosphere first, then give them clear information. The looping video and bold color system help bring Coachella’s energy into the digital space while keeping the experience easy to navigate.
